LOCAL BLUES WONDER IN HOMECOMING GIG
by Andrew Lock, 03 Jun 2016
Local blues maestro Laurence Jones (pictured above at the Napton Festival 2014) plays the Leamington Assembly on Friday 8th April with support by Levi Washington and the Black Circles
With three highly acclaimed studio albums under his belt and what appears to be a relentless touring schedule Laurence is recognised by critics and blue aficionados alike as one of the countries brightest young blues stars.
He graced the Assembly stage twice last year as both special guests for King King and for his own special show in support of the"Crohns & Colitis UK Organisation" and in recent years has performed on a number of Steve Walwyn's (another local musical star) "Kellys Nights" and made regular appearances at the Napton Festival.
As a guitarist for me he is up there with the very best and as a vocalist and songwriter just gets better and better and he also always has quality players alongside him.
If you have seen him perform before odds on you will be there and if you have not had the pleasure and are partial to a little blues magic get yourself along for a fabulous night of live music.
