Deja Vu at the Bedford Street bar

A fine night out with Deja Vu at this classy and jazz-friendly Leamington bar. Featuring new vocalist Tina with the regular line up of Andrew on sax, John on bass, Martin on keys and Simon on drums, it's the real McCoy with a fine selection of swing and latin standards served up with a neat groove and a generous dressing of lively improv.

A warm and resonant anthem from Nuneaton alternative rock trio Returned to the Earth. The video is mighty fine too.

It's always a treat to catch up with these lovely people. Here they are in a new configuration with bass and keys sounding passionate and lyrical while retaining their trademark originality.
Rena and the Renegades at GristFest 2016

For me, one of the stand-out performances of GristFest 2016 for it's sheer old-school rock and roll exuberance. Love that spacey, reverb drenched guitar full of attack and a hard-working rhythm section pushing things along with the the fine sense of pace of urgency.

Appearing at Matt Hernandez's fine Night of the Musicians for an excellent set of traditional songs delivered with elegant vocals and a laconic jazz-blues sensibility. And who knew St James Infirmary Blues started life as an English folk song? Catch them again at the Warwick folk festival as part of the amazing Steamchicken.
