Luna Kiss at Leamington Food & Drink Festival
ReviewWhile I admired their fortitude & commitment to rock, I was disappointed for Luna Kiss at the Art in the Park event in Leamington last month since the lack of cover on a sweltering day put their health at risk as they threw everything into their performance while wearing suits and no audience member risked sun stroke and possible collapse from responding to their music as it deserved to be responded to.
I'm pleased to report that both the weather & the organisation was kinder to them at today's Leamington Food & Drink Festival as they were granted cover and the very large crowd could engage properly with another full on, no holds barred set, showcasing of course their recent/current magnificent run of singles and allowing them to operate without restraint.
In fact I hadn't been planning to be there myself, but the plug pulling of MotoFest in Coventry allowed me to seize the opportunity: I hope it's rescheduled as there were several artists I was looking forwards to seeing: and indeed Luna Kiss themselves were on that bill too.
I'm not sure what more needs saying beyond what I've said in previous reviews on the band. Their considerable reputation is based upon their thrilling live performances & by adding new material of this calibre to the setlist, it just gives them even better songs to energise audiences with through the prism of their power & commitment.
Luna Kiss are working so hard in 2022 to try to translate their potential into a bigger & wider picture: I believe the breakthrough is deserved & look forwards to reporting upon it.
