Rugby Bike Festival 2016 Rugby Town Centre

Roar of engines and smell of smoke as 1000+ bikers glide into Rugby town centre for the third annual family friendly Rugby Bike Festival. Classic car, bikes & armoured vehicle displays, TT simulator, wheelie machine, face painting, quad bikes, bike memorabilia & clothing, fuel stops catering for every taste of the 10,000 visitors (squirrel pie, Caribbean, burgers, fish & chips even an ale or two) and four music arenas give welcome to Rugby's largest single music event.

Caught between Main Stage in Market Place and the Big Help Music stage in church side setting of St. Andrews Garden and little time to make events at Mister Robinson's Barber Shop, Benn Hall or Caldecott Park our pictures depict some of the 26 acts on show.

Ride in and then onto main stage with recent winners of Warwickshire Rock Fest - Tan.Trum. Teen line-up of Phoebe (vocals) GG (bass) Ellis (lead) Louie (drums) ever increasing strength in sound and faith renewed since first hearing them live in 2013. New EP 'Revival' out and into Leamington's Head Records.

Set List Indestructible - Pieces Of Eight - Bring Me to life (cover) - Broken Haunted.

Main Stage Stupid Boots - Tan.Trum - Hanzo - Fall From Glory - Mornings star Dead Frequency - Go Primitive - Bad Touch

Next hour or so earning my keep around the Town centre, photographing goings on in High Street and Sheep Street (North Street, Church Street, Evreux Way and Caldecott Park later).

Joined by son James for lunch as we listen at main stage to Victorian Themed Circus Metal of Mornings Star, vocal coach Beth in fine voice (great costumes and make-up) and charged performance of Glam Punk trio of Dead Frequency.

Attention now divided between main stage and St Andrew's Garden where on Big Help Music stage we hear The Strawhouse Singers presenting early preview of their new show 'Motown' heading for Warwick Arts Centre on July 2nd (already sold out).

Big Help Music, watch out for more from this line-up of Belle Harmonie - Tazmin Barnes Music - Nath Brooks - Melissa Severn Music - Katrin McCall Music - Strawhouse Singers & The Invisible Friends - Rachel-Ann - Lorna Dea – Megan Reece Music who are just some of the 80 or so artists performing at various canal side Inns during Folk On The Water (25th June - 10th July).

Ahead of main stage performance of Go Primitive, singer-songwriter Rachel-Ann (star of The Voice this year) with her new guitarist Caine being interviewed by MC Ian Thompsett. Daniel Teale (drums) and Andy Dove (bass) both having already played in Caldecott Park with respective bands White Men Can't Funk & Becki And The Dove join Tomm E Williams (guitar/vocals) Adam White (guitar/vocals) fellow band members of Go Primitive, who together deliver another highly energetic set. Go Primitive set : Save Your Self - Dirty Little Lies - ghost busters into Ghost -

The Sun Will Rise - Jurassic Park into early single Velociraptor, recent single (heavily rotated on ScuzzTV) In a Band finishing with Pride. Highway To Hell as Bad Touch take main stage, but just like every festival so much to see and hear. Back to work having missed more than we caught (including the invisible stage launch/camping party of MC Pigs - V8 - Gatecrasher the previous night), today annoyingly the much gossiped killer rockabilly/surf set of Hanzo and equally well-received performances in Caldecott Park of Becki And The Dove, Eve Singleton and Behind The Settee.

Caldecott Park
