Annie Mac Before Midnight

News

Broadcast Annie Mac's Before Midnight clubbing concept comes to Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry, on Saturday 4 November 2023.

The idea for Before Midnight is simple - banging tunes guaranteed, but it starts at 7pm, and it's all over by midnight!

Since leaving BBC Radio 1 in 2021, Annie Mac (real name Annie Macmanus) has continued to champion new music, DJ-ing at festivals, concerts and events around the world.

Her Before Midnight concept gives her a chance to play a long DJ set, drop some of her favourite tunes, and present a euphoric and fun night ... and still get a good night's sleep!

Alongside DJing, Annie runs her own festival (Lost and Found in Malta), champions female and LGBTQ+ artists, writes and podcasts.

Her 2021 debut novel, Mother Mother, was a Sunday Times Bestseller, while her follow-up, The Mess We're In, was published in May 2023.

Meanwhile, Annie's Change podcast sees her chat to leading artists, writers, musicians and artists about the biggest changes in their lives. Previous guest have included Sara Cox, Idris Elba, Dolly Alderton, Amanda Knox, Zadie Smith, 'whistleblower' Chelsea Manning, Louis Theroux, and Self Esteem.

Discussing the Before Midnight concept with The Guardian, Annie said: "You're going to be able to get all that wild abandon and collective euphoria that you get when you dance in a dark, sweaty room with brilliant people to brilliant music.
