"Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" screening and live score premiere

News

I'm delighted to bring you a heads-up on a rather special musical event which I'll be reviewing for the magazine next month.

As part of CineCov (kindly brought to you by Flatpack on behalf of Film Hub Midlands with support from the BFI using funds from the National Lottery), there will be a (understandably delayed) celebration of the centenary of one of the masterpieces of silent cinema, "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" starring John Barrymore in his breakthrough film performance.

The setting will be Coventry Cathedral no less  on Friday 29th April at half past eight in the evening.

Tickets & further information are available via this link:

If you are wondering what this article has to do with music, the answer is that there will be the premiere of a new live score to the film, performed by multi-instrumentalist Stephen Horne, alongside another Flatpack regular Meg Morley on piano.

See you there.
