Review

Make you mine, the first solo release from Dean Dovey, is a big, big romantic ballad.  Delivered with warmth and conviction, it builds from a delicate piano-tinged introduction to a powerful orchestral arrangement.

Listen carefully and you'll hear some serious songwriting chops. Here's an example, "When the pain is gone, the batttle's won, I see your surrender in the whites of your eyes." There's more craftsmanship in the production with subtle dynamics, a memorable hook, sensitive piano work and bold string arrangements.
