Man Made Moon & Stylusboy triumphant at Temperance

Review

This was a fab evening of local live music down in the basement which began with a set by Coventry singer-songwriter Stylusboy whose heart-warming set include a few songs from his ‘Back in the Day' EP supporting The "Good Neighbours" Project a charity in Coventry supporting lonely and isolated people.
He met with several elderly/isolated people and composed songs based on their stories including ‘Fourteen Days' about the life of John and his survival behind enemy lines in World War 2 which was so moving, a beautiful set of wonderfully composed songs by a gifted performer.
Headlining and hailing from Leamington ‘Man Made Moon' a band I have really taken to recently and what a set 20 songs plus, covering so many different styles while still retaining their own identity.
This bands songwriting is so on-point, full of the most gorgeous melodies/choruses with the whole band playing  their part, Ben up front has wonderful charisma with a voice to match, the guitarist lead breaks just soar wihile the keyboards add deeper layers to the overall sound with the rhythm section solid as a rock.
They played both of their amazing EPs, several singles and new material, highlights (of many) for me included ‘Guide Me Home' with it's impressive key changes and the exquisite ‘Day Trips to the Moon' with it's audience singalong ending.
They included an epic cover of The Beatles ‘Golden Slumbers' and finished the night in rocking, party style with the room dancing for a raucous  ‘McNulty's Bar'.
Wonderful evening of local talent.
