Charlie Tophill Art Trail

Feature

After my over-enthusiastic attempt to visit the Vortex Creates "JOY: Inspired by Nature" exhibition at the Herbert on July 3rd (well before it was opened on 20th July), I made it a bit of a Charlie Tophill Trail round the galleries of Coventry yesterday as I finally visited it properly & then went on to LTB to catch the exhibition related to the Flower Ball event she devised with Parma Vi0let.

You'd better hurry to catch the latter though (which was what I was doing) as it comes down on Sunday 4th August ("JOY: Inspired by Nature" runs until September 22nd).

Her contribution to "JOY: Inspired by Nature" is a piece entitled "Brownfield" which was commissioned by Coventry City Council for the "Spaces in(BETWEEN)" project in 2022.

The Flower Ball exhibition includes an improvised piece Charlie created for it and features artworks by many artists including Andrea Mbarushimana, Pangaea Sculpture Centre, Bid Tophill, Jack Shuttleworth, Saffi Mbarushimana Lotte Tophill, Philippa Cross and Anisha Sidhu.
