Gristfest 2 !

If you missed the amazing Gristfest back in April never fear, drummer and festival promoter Peter Drew and The Grist Mill Landlord Clive Brooks have sat themselves down, dusted themselves off and, in response to performers who missed out last time, are going to do it all over again.

19th - 21st August is Gristfest 2 bringing an eclectic mix of around 30 local bands and singers: some favourites from last time including Chain of Fools, Harry Rag Band & Semillon and also singer songwriters such as Ian Bourne and Shanade Morrow. Variety really is the spice of Gristfest with rock, jazz, acoustic, blues, sixties etc something for everyone.

Weather permitting, the bands will be performing outside, moving into the pub in the evening. Entrance is free so is excellent value for money. Bring the whole family. Children's attractions include a bouncy castle and fairground ride. You can even bring the dog....

Clive and his team make everyone welcome and work hard to put the fun in fundraising with games freebies and dares - I may never escape the vision of Clive in his Elvis suit curling his upper lip - and any donation is gratefully received.

All the bands play for free and the guys from James and Friends are ensuring that all the music sounds loud and clear. Come along and feel part of the Grist Mill community, it's a great event with great music and lots of laughter.

Sponsored by Taylor Funeral Directors & Shipyard Brewery, Gristfest 2 is raising money for Sydenham's The Rest Stop and Myton Hospice.

If you have any freebies that can be used for fundraising on the day such as key rings, pens, t-shirts, balloons or CDs etc please contact Clive.
